Rothesay Bay

Rothesay Bay takes its name from the small inlet into the Hauraki Gulf, accessed via Rothesay Bay road. It’s a small suburb which lies between Browns Bay to the north and Murrays Bay to the south. Retail

There’s a small set of shops on the main road, with a focus on restaurants, as well as a bakery, superette and pharmacy. Restaurants in the village include Thai, British, Indian, Turkish and a wine bar / bistro that covers all the bases; takeaway bars serve Chinese, Thai and traditional roasts.

Schools

The area is zoned for Browns Bay Primary, Murrays Bay Intermediate and Rangitoto College.
